"Platishers" -- those hybrids between publishers, like Gawker, that allow anyone to create content, and platforms, such as Medium, with editorial staff and paid contributors, have been around for a while, but continue to present challenges to individuals and organizations looking to have a content presence outside their own sites or owned channels.

This talk will explore the challenges of content platform selection and the unintended consequences of choosing wrong. Some of the questions addressed include:
