Websites are ever-evolving complex digital ecosystems existing as part of an even more complex digital ecosystem. To truly be strategic about our web content, and to hope to begin to control content chaos, we need to map and understand these systems.

Content ecosystem mapping might be just the thing. Content ecosystem maps help you understand what the heck is going on with content in your organization: where content originates, the processes to produce it, the forces that shape it, the audiences that use it, and how it all interacts.

Scott will provide an introduction to the methodology of content ecosystem mapping through a live demonstration, and invite a Q&A about how content ecosystem mapping can be applied to your work.

Takeaways:

• Understanding the ecosystem metaphor
• Key components of a content ecosystem map
• Killer diagramming tips to help you get the most out of the technique
• How to fit content ecosystem mapping into your project work
